Mario Power-Up Cards by TheCynicalPoet Mario Power-Up Cards by TheCynicalPoet
*UPDATE 4-20-14*
Added Power-Ups: Slow Flower, Speedy Flower, P-Squirrel Suit, Cat Suit, Marine Pop, Sky Pop, F.L.U.D.D. Nozzles, and the Spin Drill.
Updated Cards: Wing Cap, Propeller Suit, Frog Suit, Rainbow Star, Rabbit Mario, Rock Mario, Spring Mario, and the Vanish Cap.

Well, this is what happens when one gets bored during the day. I took every one of Mario's power ups and transformed them into a series of cards, and each power up has two sets of cards. Not only that, but I've divided them each into sets. Every two rows is a different set. There are 74 cards in all. :D

Rows 1-2
The Mario Series:
Mario, Super Mario, Mega Mario, Mini Mario

Rows 3-4
The Flower Series:
Fire Mario, Superball Mario, Slow Flower, Speedy Flower, Ice Mario's, Gold Mario

Rows 5-6
The Flight Series:
Raccoon Mario, Cape Mario, P-Balloon, Wing Cap, Red Star, Propeller Mario, Flying Squirrel Mario, P-Squirrel Mario

Rows 7-8
The Suit Series:
Tanooki Suit, Frog Suit, Hammer Bros. Suit, Blue Shell, Bee Suit, Penguin Suit, Boomerang Bros. Suit, Cat Suit

Rows 9-10
The Invincibility Series:
Starman, Tanooki Statue, Metal Mario, Mega Pixel Mario, Rainbow Star, White Tanooki, White Racoon

Rows 11-12
The Advancement Series:
Kuribo's Shoe, Rabbit Mario, Vanish Cap, Boo Mario, Spring Mario, Rock Mario, Cloud Mario

Rows 13-14
The Utility Series:
Marine Pop, Sky Pop, Squirt Nozzle, Hover Nozzle, Rocket Nozzle, Turbo Nozzle, Spin Drill

Many power-ups, items, and backgrounds were created by :iconblistinaorgin:, :iconpxlcobit:, and :icontheguy07:, as well as myself.

Ah, I have. I don't have a Wii U yet, so some of the more recent power-ups have escaped me. I'll be sure to try and include them soon. Thanks for letting me know! :)

Are you ever going to release the ones on here that aren't already here, or on MFGG?
I really wish you did.
You are AMAZING at making sprites, and especially at animating them!
You make the art come alive!
I really wished you made more animations, AND sprites :)

The power-ups that I have released on here and MFGG are the only ones that I have a completed sheet with. A lot of these sprites are either poses I made specifically for this card series or from other spriters. One day I'm hoping to work up the motivation to start making new power-up sheets. I just recently got a job though, so I'll have to find some free time specifically for spriting. Thank you very much though! It means a lot. :D

Thank you! Once I work up the motivation to sprite again, I will. It took me months to get the motivation to upload this. xD

This looks like a good idea for a sprite-based 2.5D Mario game.

Please?

You can actually find a lot of the power ups here on my MFGG account, which is here: [link]

On there, I have Raccoon, Tanooki, Fire, Boomerang, Rock, Shell, Propeller, Cloud, Ice, and Penguin power ups. Some are more updated than others, but you can also find sprite sheets of Mario's other forms on the website. :D

The bottom part of the sprite is cut off due to size restraints. But the upper half is in there.

I used to have the full sprite somewhere on my computer, but I haven't been able to find it. I might have accidentally deleted that file. I'm sorry. D:

No, I like Kirby. In fact, I'm planning to get Return to Dreamland. I've also got a few Kirby games such Kirby 64 and Amazing Mirror.

i like all of them and is a good idea but i think you're wrong with one of the vanish cap card because Mario don't wear the vanish cap and he is invisible thing doesn't happen in Super Mario 64, still if they were real i will buy them (─‿‿─)

All I don't get is why you didn't use the Mini Mario sprite that is from the game.(When Luigi hits Mario) This is cool, though.

Do you mean the Small Mario, or the Mini Mushroom Mario?
If you mean for Small Mario, it's because I felt Mario's appearance should be kept more cartoony, yet flexible with his sprite, which is what I felt fit perfectly for his small form.

If you mean Mini Mario, that sprite would have been a tad too big for him.
